The Maloney Jacket & Quarter-Zip is a digital sewing pattern and instruction guide for women.

The Maloney has a relaxed fit, is lightly lined, and is finished with bias binding. The Maloney can be sewn with a hood, collar, crew neckline, or V-neckline. The divided version includes in-seam pockets; the version without the horizontal seam offers large patch pockets, small patch pockets, or zippered pockets. The quarter-zip version features in-seam pockets. The Maloney can be closed with buttons, a zipper, or drawstrings. An optional decorative button placket and a breast pocket are also available.

Material

Suitable outer fabrics include quilted fabric, corduroy, bouclé, sweatshirt fabric, fleece, teddy fabric, boiled wool, or coat fabric. Cotton poplin, French terry, jersey, or summer sweat are suitable for the lining.
When combining the outer and lining fabrics, make sure they have a similar stretch. For example, if the outer fabric is somewhat stretchy, jersey or French terry should be used as the lining. This helps prevent either the outer or inner jacket from bulging over the bias tape.

In addition, you will need max. 7 m / 280“ non-stretch bias tape (4 cm / 1.6“ wide, folded to 2 cm / 0.8“), Vlieseline H180 fusible interfacing, and, depending on the version, 5–8 anorak snaps (12 cm–15 cm / 4-5“ diameter), a separable zipper (max. 70 cm / 28“ long), an endless zipper (approx. 20 cm / 7.8“ long for the breast pocket and 70 cm / 28“ long for the breast and welt pockets) and max. 130 cm / 51“  long elastic (1 cm / 0.4“ high) for the quarter-zip.

The e-book contains the pattern in sizes EU 32–52 / US 0-20 (bust 77–124 cm / 30-48.8“, hips 86–131 cm / 33-51.6“) in A4, US-Letter and A0 formats (both with and without seam and hem allowance) and as a projector pattern file, with mirrored pattern pieces and illustrated instructions.
